VIPR Student Workshop: “Beyond the Basics: AI Literacy & Creative Tech Exploration”

You are invited to attend an interactive 90-minute workshop designed to boost your digital literacy and creative skills! The workshop is hosted by University Libraries and will start with 30 minutes of AI Literacy fundamentals, covering essential topics like effective prompting techniques, AI ethics, and understanding how generative AI works.  You will also learn about the library’s ongoing AI support resources, including semester-long workshops, comprehensive online guides, and personalized research consultations. Next, you’ll explore maker literacies and will be introduced to the exciting technologies available in the new Creative Engagement Wing in the MLC, where hands-on learning meets innovation. The final 30 minutes are yours to dive deeper—whether that means getting hands-on with the cutting-edge tools in this space or continuing the AI conversation with more detailed questions. Please bring your laptop! Come ready to explore, create, and discover how these emerging technologies can enhance your academic and creative work!
