The ARCHES team studies student access to and success in undergraduate research experiences. Specifically, they study how students’ backgrounds, experiences, and personal identities may impact their undergraduate research experiences, and how research mentors can develop inclusive research environments to support all students. They also study how scaled-up research opportunities, including course-based undergraduate research experiences (CUREs), can facilitate engagement in authentic research practices such as academic publishing or presenting scholarly work at conferences.

This team is recruiting students for Fall 2026.
