The team will produce one short documentary film during a year-long cycle. This includes interviewing, collecting b-roll and archival footage, scripting storylines, forging graphics, editing, and exhibiting the final product. Topics generally follow themes of conservation/science or arts/culture. The 2026-27 project will likely be a historic exploration of the music that drove the Civil Rights Movement with attention to Curtis Mayfield, The Impressions, and MLK. It will draw from Mayfield archives in Chattanooga and MLK archives at UGA. The project has a meaningful budget, and the team will have access to a dedicated, state-of-the-art post-production lab. Applicants should indicate any experience in applying soft (creative) or hard (technical) skills.
This team is recruiting until June 1, 2026.
