The UGA Athens campus provides many unique opportunities for learning.  Our VIPR team will employ the notion of campus as a living lab to explore current issues in urban water resources and to develop a mechanistic understanding of streams traversed by decades of UGA students.  The field of water resources science is intrinsically interdisciplinary and spans undergraduate programs. Our ultimate goal is to establish an experiential framework that builds upon data-driven decisions and to introduce the skills required to develop practical solutions for current and future water resources issues.

This team is recruiting until June 1, 2026.

Team Leads: Franklin E. Leach III (Chemistry), Krista Capps (Ecology), Erin Lipp (Environmental Health Science), Seth Wenger (Ecology), Charles van Rees (Ecology)
